Corporation de développement de Schefferville

The Schefferville Development Corporation (Corporation) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the social, community and economic development of the city of Schefferville. A wind of youth is blowing through Schefferville: a few families have settled there and the city wants to offer them the possibility of staying there for several years. The Corporation will offer a mandate for a pre-feasibility study to build an eco-neighborhood that will include affordable rental housing.

Among the Corporation's directors, there is François Désy, who is the vice-president and who is actively working on the development of projects. Some are at the feasibility study stage while others will see the light of day soon. For the next 3 to 5 years, the Corporation's vision is to be an agent of change to participate in the creation of wealth for the city. In addition, the Schefferville Development Corporation wants to acquire city residences and other buildings in order to build a real estate portfolio, which will have a leverage effect to support development.
