Glencore Canada
Although Glencore was founded as an international trading company in the 1970s, it has since inherited a strong Canadian presence and a history dating back more than 100 years.
Today, our Canadian facilities constitute an important part of Glencore's global operations. Our facilities employ approximately 9,000 people, including contract employees.
Our assets in Quebec include copper mining facilities and projects (e.g.: Horne Foundry), nickel (e.g.: Raglan Mining Complex) and zinc (e.g.: CEZinc). At the Raglan Mining Complex, we currently operate three underground nickel mines, which are among the richest base metal mines in the world.
