In the northern territory, Éléonore is a world-class gold mine at the cutting edge of technology which is among the largest gold mines in Quebec. It is located in Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, 800 km north of Montreal, on the 52nd parallel. The first gold pour took place on October 1, 2014 and commercial production began on April 1, 2015. The ore is processed on site using a conventional circuit which includes crushing, grinding, gravity, flotation and cyanidation.
