Arbec (Port-Cartier)

Arbec Forest Products Inc., a leading player in the Quebec forestry industry specializing in OSB panels, is committed to providing its customers with high-quality, environmentally friendly, and sustainable products. It employs approximately 650 people. It owns several plants in Quebec, including the sawmill in Port-Cartier.

Arbec also owns, in partnership, Bioénergie AE Côte-Nord Canada Inc., a biofuel production plant based on residual forest biomass located in Port-Cartier. This plant, the only one of its kind in Quebec, converts residual forest biomass into renewable biofuel. This biofuel replaces fossil fuels in industrial applications and enables significant greenhouse gas reductions.
