Scandium Canada

Scandium Canada (TSX-V: SCD) is a public company dedicated to promoting of critical metals, mainly scandium. Its ultimate goal is to bring the world's leading primary source of scandium into operation, enabling the development and commercialization of aluminum-scandium (Al-Sc) alloys to meet the growing needs of modern industry for lighter, greener, longer-lasting, higher-performance materials. By leveraging its dedicated Al-Sc alloys subsidiary and the development of its Crater Lake mining project, the company aims to become the market leader in scandium, while committing itself to building a more responsible economy through innovation and agility.

The Crater Lake project covers an area of 47 km², including the TG Zone, which extends over 4.5 km² and is one of 5 mineralized zones identified on the property. To date, the TG Zone has estimated resources of close to 27 million tonnes, at an average grade of 278g/t Sc2O3. In 2022, the Company completed a preliminary economic study and is currently advancing towards a pre-feasibility study.

In parallel, the Company has developed two Al-Sc alloys and their powders, designed specifically for additive manufacturing (3D printing) leading to the filing of a provisional patent application with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The application, entitled “Aluminum alloy powders for additive manufacturing. Methods of producing the same and uses thereof”, represents a major breakthrough in the field of high-performance materials.
